The Office of the Clerk to Parliament in Uganda has issued a notice of an upcoming meeting of the Appointments Committee to vet prudential appointments to the Judiciary. The committee is set to interact with several Presidential Nominees on Friday, July 21, 2023. The meeting, scheduled to take place at 10:00 am in the Speaker’s Boardroom at Parliament House, aims to discuss and assess the qualifications of the nominees.
Among the individuals to be vetted are Her Worship Nabakooza Flavia, Mr. Mwaka Philip Wilebrord, Mr. Kwizera Amos, Mr. Makumbi David Samson, Lwokya Dr. Akello Echookit Chistine, His Worship Karemani Jamson Karemera, Ms. Jacqueline Mwondha, Mrs. Naluzze Aisha Batala, Ms. Kania Rosetie Comfort, Ms. Rubagumya Tumusiime Patience Emily, and Mr. Lubega Farouq. These individuals have been appointed as Acting Judges of the High Court.
Additionally, Samuel Were Wandera has been appointed as the Executive Director of the Financial Intelligence Authority.
