Enhancing Judicial Service: Gulu High Court Conducts Specialized Customer Care Training

In a strategic effort to elevate the standards of justice delivery, Gulu High Court in Uganda is currently hosting a specialized training on customer care for its staff. The initiative, spearheaded and inaugurated by Justice Philip Odoki is designed to enhance the quality of service offered to the public and reinforces communication channels between the court and the citizens it serves.

The training, taking place at Bomah Hotel in Gulu City, is marked by the active involvement of prominent legal figures who have been addressing essential aspects of public relations, the impact of corruption, media engagement, and customer care within the judiciary.

HW Lamumu Pamela Ocaya, representing the Chief Registrar, took the stage to emphasize the critical role of effective public relations in the judicial system. Her insights shed light on the importance of establishing communication channels that foster understanding and cooperation between the court and the public it serves.

Justice Lawrence Gidudu, Head of the Anti-Corruption Division of the High Court, delivered a session that focused on the far-reaching consequences of corruption on customer care and service delivery within the judiciary. This exploration underlines the judiciary’s commitment to transparency and equitable practices.

Guiding participants through the intricate landscape of media engagement, public relations, and their pivotal role within the judicial framework, HW James Ereemye Mawanda Jumire, the Registrar Magistrates Affairs and Data Management, provided valuable insights. By delving into these nuanced dynamics, the training equips staff with the skills to effectively convey the court’s message to the public.

At the core of the training lies a comprehensive understanding of customer care within the judicial process. HW James Ereemye Mawanda Jumire led discussions on how a customer-centric approach can significantly enhance the quality of service and improve public perception of the judicial process.
